Rachita Prakash, M.D.
Principal Investigator, Kidney Associates of Colorado
As a principal and sub investigator for Kidney Associates of Colorado, Dr. Prakash will bring a new element of care to patients by offering them the opportunity to participate in clinical research trials, which will further the science for improved care of chronic kidney disease for the future.
Rachita joined Kidney Associates of Colorado in 2017 after moving to Denver from the East Coast. Dr. Prakash was previously practicing nephrology in Northern and West Virginia and prior to that was in private practice in the Greater Pittsburgh area until 2013. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Robert Packer Hospital/Guthrie Clinic in Northern Pennsylvania where she was chief resident and was awarded the Stanley Conklin Award for research. Rachita went on to train in nephrology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and graduated in 2012. She is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
Dr. Prakash has a keen interest in evaluation and management of acute kidney failure, management of chronic kidney disease, diabetic kidney disease and management of hypertension with research in patient outcomes on peritoneal dialysis.
