Dr. Kumbala has been a clinical trial investigator for 10 years and with Renal Associates of Baton Rouge, LLC for three years.
Dr. Kumbala received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from B.M. Patil Medical College in India and completed his internal medicine residency at Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati. He then pursued nephrology training at Tulane University in New Orleans where he served as the chief nephrology fellow during his training.
Dr. Kumbala is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology. He is also certified in hemodialysis vascular access procedures by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology. Dr. Kumbala is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology. He has served as assistant professor of clinical medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine and senior lecturer at University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. His areas of interest are vascular access and ICU nephrology.
